Reflections:

Reading Response 2:

In Reading Response 2 I was tasked with analyzing the similarities and differences between poetry and creative nonfiction. To obtain the information I needed to make a compelling argument I had to examine 3 passages that were provided over the semester in which I had to identify the different forms used for each variation of storytelling and how the stories can relate to one another. Doing this helped me view a strong relationship between the two different types of writing and develop the concept that even though they seem like two completely different types of writing they still have their similarities that bring them together.

Assignment 9: Literature of Diaspora Draft:

When writing the draft for the Literature of Diaspora paper I had to identify which character in the story "Hunger" best represented a Cormorant. After learning of the nature of the Cormorant I had to examine the different relationships displayed in the book and dive deep into seeing how characters were treated and how they developed as the story went on to identify who best represented the nature of a Cormorant. Through a deep analysis, I was able to create the opinion that Tian best represented a Cormorant based on the events and challenges he faced throughout the book.
