Final Reflection

When developing the ePortfolio something that I kept in mind is that I wanted the website to be clear and concise. Straight to the point essentially, so when designing the ePortfolio I made sure that the title and a brief description of what was going to be on the page was the first thing that anyone saw. I also wanted a visual aid to brighten up the page and help get the overall concept of the website out there. When designing the different tabs I wanted to make sure they popped and stood out to the user so I used a different color and spread them evenly across the top of the page, similar to other websites out there. When it came to displaying the actual information of the learning objectives, I wanted to put everything in one place. So, to do that I made six separate pages for the six learning objectives, and on each page, I put the title of the learning objective, the definition of the objective, my reflection on the objective, and how it relates to my two artifacts, and my two artifacts. Overall I wanted to keep my ePortfolio simple and easy to access while still fulfilling all of the requirements for the ePortfolio.
For the reflections we were tasked to reflect on our assignments and think about how our writing process could connect to the learning objectives for the course. To do this I thought about the process I had to go through when writing the different papers. For example, for the learning objective of “Revision,” I looked back through our completed work and thought about the different writing assignments we had in which we had to revise and take in feedback to make our paper better. From there I recalled the necessary information I needed to write the reflection, thinking about how I took the feedback and how I used it to make my paper better. Another example would be for the learning objective “Decision Making and Production” The line of the definition that stood out to me was “ability to navigate choices and constraints when writing for specific audiences”. This stood out because of two assignments we had to complete where we had to tailor our answers for a specific crowd. The assignment that stood out was the parable and fable assignment in which we had to create a children's story. This allowed me to make connections between the learning objective and the writing process I went through to write the fable.
